I wanted to be sure everyone saw the great Sauna education and offer I sent Monday. Here's an update on that, and notably the EMF aspect.
There’s so much information about the benefits of sauna, and why owning a well-made, low-EMF, and therapeutic infrared sauna is a great investment in your health - that Robyn Openshaw made a webinar to share all of the important information with my community.
But I really need to address EMFs, because so many saunas are “smart” now, and have Wi-Fi INSIDE, literally ruining the health benefits. So, I found a great video of my colleague Robyn Openshaw addressing this, and my team and I excerpted the 2-minute bite to support you.
Because if you invest in the wrong sauna, you run the risk of:
- DNA damage due to ionizing radiation (Dr. Sarah Ballantyne, PhD)
- Heart disease and cancer (epa. gov)
- Disturbed sleep (which is a slow but steady health destroyer!)
- Being exposed to a Group 2B carcinogen (World Health Organization)
Not to sound repetitive, but I do LOVE SAUNAS! There is something very calming, purifying and meditative about taking a sauna, and infrared sauna takes this purification/detox to the next level. It penetrates deeper into the body—up to three inches—compared to a traditional sauna. So you sweat faster, without having to endure a stifling 160 or 180 degrees like in classic saunas.
But you can’t just use any old sauna, take it from me (I’ve been researching this for a long time), all infrared saunas are not created equal. You ONLY want to be using a LOW EMF infrared sauna.
This is CRITICAL - many infrared saunas are EMF hotspots.
And while you’re sitting in one, trying to heal your body, the sauna itself is emitting invisible electromagnetic fields (magnetic fields is generally the biggest issue) that can mean the sauna is doing more harm than good.
