So reveals Building Biologist Martine Davis.
This was a lesson that Martine learned the hard
way.
For 20 years she worked happily as a computer engineer until one day she fell prey to a devastating illness which she later discovered was caused by a ‘sick home’.
Martine was misdiagnosed with a variety of diseases and was given little hope for recovery.
Not one to be put down, she embarked on a personal quest to overcome her illness.
Her research lead her to the Institute for Building Biology, the U.S. branch of the German Institut fur Bau-Biologie. There she learned about environmental health, air quality, electromagnetic fields (EMFs) and the impact of buildings on
human health.
Armed with this new knowledge, Martine set about testing her own home and implementing remediation procedures.
Thankfully she has now fully recovered and enjoys good health once again.
