Oram has, pretty much, always been interested in sustainability.
The notion of looking after the planet.
But he wanted to not just learn about sustainability, he wanted to implement it, and help others implement it.
This is what drew him to the building biology profession.
“What they do is they not only take the concept of green building and sustainability which focuses on the effects of our building practices over the most recent decades on the environment, but also my profession focuses on how that impacts human health.”
For many years, Oram did the full scope of the building biology work, which involved indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, lead, radon, natural gas, natural building materials that don’t produce mold and outgassing and so on.
In 2007 he co-wrote a book with two of his colleagues George Swanson and Wayne Federer called Breathing Walls.
In his book he laid out the ‘biological approach’ to designing and building a healthy home and particularly addressing the issue of mold.
Then in 2010 Oram relocated from Minneapolis, the Upper Midwest to California in and he decided, “I really don’t like mold so much per se, but I love EMFs.”
And that is what he set about to focus on.
“With smart meters and now, 5G. I’ve just been very busy doing EMFs for the last decade.”
Fast-forward to 2020 and Oram Miller has now consulted with literally thousands of clients.
For my next interview I’m delighted to welcome leading building biologist and EMF specialist Oram Miller.
We are going to be talking about the dangers of 5G, and how can we protect ourselves.
